So, this is me in college.

Courtesy Sharon, my roommate from back in the day. I didn't know any pictures from then existed. I do look sort of cute, I guess, but those glasses!
eta: Oh, I know that jacket! It was grey tweed menswear. eta3: No, it was a vintage '40s jacket, black and white tweed with a velvet collar. It had something like a 24" waist, so I don't recollect exhaling even once in it.
eta4: Oh my god, I am smoking Black Sobranies! My entire college career is flashing before my eyes. Thank god I didn't waste it on schoolwork.
eta2: As a tonic, here are Sharon and I and her son last week:

Here are some definitely cheering things. Your mileage may vary, since they're not about you.
Feb. 28th, 2008 | 02:48 pm
- After months of comparative inactivity, I have not gained a pound.
- I got my W-2 from work today. Long story. This means I can finalize my taxes, send 'em in, and get money back. Getting money back from the government always feels like a victory for the good guys, even though I know it was my money in the first place. Perception = reality.
eta: Finished filing my taxes online. This is the first year I haven't done a paper return so I'm a little nervous about it, and I expect I will be until I get the actual refund in my account. - I don't actually have to eat the food of my people, though I'm making Janson's Delight tonight.
eta: Actually, I had salad and bread and a lot of marmalade. I had been thinking I'd use it up, since it didn't seem as though there was that much in the pot. Except that it kept expanding to fill the available space. At a rough estimate, I ate 628 ounces of marmalade for dinner. - I'm now a floor warden at work, which means I get a walkie-talkie and an attractive fluorescent vest, and I can take emergency first aid and CPR courses for free. I volunteered to take on extra responsibilities. The leader said, "Your climbing nature wants more to do," which is true. In an emergency I'll get bored otherwise. I always like the exit row for the same reason. Okay, the extra legroom is nice, too.
- I started tagging things here, which is pretty fun. I've said a lot, haven't I?
- I am, like, totally on the Nebula ballot. You're tired of hearing about it, but every so often I remember and I get the bouncy feeling again.

Ability Scores:
Strength-16
Dexterity-11
Constitution-15
Intelligence-15
Wisdom-17
Charisma-16
Alignment:
True Neutral A true neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most true neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil after all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, he's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some true neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. True neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion. However, true neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction.
Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.
Class:
Bards often serve as negotiators, messengers, scouts, and spies. They love to accompany heroes (and villains) to witness heroic (or villainous) deeds firsthand, since a bard who can tell a story from personal experience earns renown among his fellows. A bard casts arcane spells without any advance preparation, much like a sorcerer. Bards also share some specialized skills with rogues, and their knowledge of item lore is nearly unmatched. A high Charisma score allows a bard to cast high-level spells.
Find out What Kind of Dungeons and Dragons Character Would You Be?
...but I have to say that the day Strength comes in higher than Intelligence on me is a rare one.

You are the World
Completion, Good Reward.
The World is the final card of the Major Arcana, and as such represents saturnian energies, time, and completion.
The World card pictures a dancer in a Yoni (sometimes made of laurel leaves). The Yoni symbolizes the great Mother, the cervix through which everything is born, and also the doorway to the next life after death. It is indicative of a complete circle. Everything is finally coming together, successfully and at last. You will get that Ph.D. you've been working for years to complete, graduate at long last, marry after a long engagement, or finish that huge project. This card is not for little ends, but for big ones, important ones, ones that come with well earned cheers and acknowledgements. Your hard work, knowledge, wisdom, patience, etc, will absolutely pay-off; you've done everything right.
What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.
I've done well.
eta: I would totally wear her little outfit.

I predict that you will soon be drinking your morning wake-up beverage out of a goblet made of gold mined in ancient times. Songbirds will appear near your window to sing you tunes that magically unleash your dormant genetic potentials. Out of nowhere, servants will arrive and offer to wash your feet in jeweled basins once used to baptize the children of queens. Maybe most exciting of all, you will command the power of the wind and lightning. OK, so maybe everything I just predicted will only occur in your dreams. But even if that's the case, it's a sign that you're in a heightened state of receptivity to miracles and wonders -- which suggests that they will soon be swirling around you.
Free Will Astrology. There's always the "Am I Capricorn or am I Aquarius?" question, since I was born a couple of hours from the cusp. But lately I've been reading Capricorn.
